A resident at MHA Reuben Manor care home celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary with an intimate party.

Janette Wilkinson,  married her husband, Maurice Wilkinson in 1961.

The pair met during a dance in Dunfermline in 1959 and got married at Dunfermline Abbey two years later.

They have two children, Steven (59) and Linda (56).

Maurice worked for the ministry of defence in logistics for 36 years and Janette worked for the NHS in the finance team.

To mark the occasion the home arranged for a small gathering for the couple alongside other residents and staff.

MHA Reuben Manor provides residential and residential dementia care for 83 residents.

Speaking after the celebrations Maurice said: “Janette and I really enjoyed it, we had a nice cake that was made by the kitchen as well as some wine and a get together with fellow residents

“I brought the anniversary cards in from home and displayed them for everyone to see.

“Janette moved into MHA Reuben Manor last April, the quality of the home is exceptionally good, the activities are good, the managerial staff are good and respond well to it.

“I enjoy taking part in the activities and feel very welcome.”
